The Achievement, Opportunity,
and Service Community offers students and
parents a traditional high school experience in a small school
setting. This experience is enhanced by rigorous, innovative
programs and an outstanding staff. Challenging
core and advanced courses, a diverse elective program, and an
emphasis on community service are successful elements of our small
school.
To
foster personalization and academic success for our students, the
staff of our school has implemented four exciting programs.
All students are involved in an advisory group where
they receive academic guidance, learn leadership skills, and
complete a community service project.
Freshmen participate in the Freshman Instructional Skills
Training course that introduces them to various elective programs
and helps them develop essential skills for success in high school.
All students have the opportunity to benefit from a network of
community and teacher volunteers who offer additional help and
resources to struggling students.
The
staff of our school believes that achievement, opportunity, and
service are all interconnected, creating a successful community of
learners. AOS is committed to nurturing our students to reach their
potential and discover their passions and gifts. Graduates of Achievement,
Opportunity, and Service Community will leave school
prepared for success in higher education, work, and responsible
citizenship.
