Mountlake Terrace Girl's Tennis Preview This years team is featuring many new faces from the head coaching spot to many of the players. The new coach of the team is Gigi Johnson who isn't new to the job having previously coached both Boys Varcity team and Girls Varcity team before an injury stopped her from coaching four years ago. She has earlier taken over the JV Boys. She spends many years coaching outside of the school all year long. After the Girls Tennis season is over she will be going to coach the local Mountlake Terrace team during the summer at the local Greenfield tennis courts, which lasts most of the summer. In 2005 the MountalkeTerrace Team had placed forth in the tournament beating there neighboring rivals at Forest Crest. During the fall and spring she also opens tennis lessons for boys and girls prepping for the season. With all the experience she has this years team hopes to contend this season. This year's manger will be freshmen Nick Luu who was on this year's JV team. His sister Nina was also managing the Boy's Varcity team. This years team will miss a probable top varcity singles player in Halie opening the season due to an injury in her leg but the lineup will still feature hard hitting Rene Noeun at the number one spot who by far has the hardest serve and ground strokes. Number two will be Sarah Cumberland who will return to playing top singles. In the number three hole the team will put Ann Troung the sister of Boy's number one My Troung both great hard hitters at the baseline. The two have been constantly hitting during off days and have seen improvement in there game. Lastly rapping up the singles players on the team is Lexi Juritech who last year as a rare find being a freshmen made the team and is making a leap to singles this year. Now for this years doubles team. Alexa Stead-Ashley Juritech are leading the team as the top duo this year and have seen improvement in there game. At number two doubles are the standout freshmen pair Teryn Bouche, sister of Boy's Varcity Rhett Bouche who was an alternate at state. With her best friend, Cori Pingel as her doubles partner the two hope to kick of a great Tennis career in high school. Starting the season at number three doubles will be the doubles team of Sarah Binder and Molly Erickson who have both earned the spot on the Varcity Team. That's the lineup of the 2007 Girl's Varcity team as they hope to have a great season!!!
