Back at Mountlake Terrace for his 20th year of coaching here, Coach Wirtz brings a wealth of experience. The head basketball coach at Meadowdale for four years,Greg graduated from Western Washington University and obtained his masters degree from Seattle Pacific University. Greg is married to Julie and has two children- Marcie and Randy. Greg teaches Team Sports and Life Fitness at Meadowdale. Greg names Roger Ottmar as a mentor and his hobbies are running, hiking, and photography on Kauai. Greg has numerous memorable moments in his 25-year coaching career including being an assistant coach on the Terrace team that took home 5th place in the 1989 AA State Tournament and watching players move on to play at the college level and seeing former players come back for a visit and seeing how much they have grown up.
