Congratulations to Coach Roger Ottmar and his wife Sandy on his Washington State Boy's Basketball Hall of Fame in June 2005.  This is the ultimate accomplishment for any high school coach in the state of Washington and we are all excited about the recent announcement.   As many of you know, Coach Ottmar is still with the MTHS boy's basketball program as our assistant freshmen coach!  We are fortunate to have Coach still contributing to the success of our program.

Coach Ottmar’s Accomplishments

• Reached 300 career wins on February 26, 2000

• Coached only undefeated team in the history of the Edmonds School District.

• WESCO Coach of The Year (2000)

• Seattle Times Coach of The Year (2000)

• Tenth active most winning coach in Washington upon his retirement.

• Outlasted seven different principals at MTHS.

• Coached at MTHS during four different presidential administrations.

• There were 17 different varsity coaches at Edmonds School District High Schools while Roger was the head coach here at MTHS.

• Coach Ottmar sent on over 30 players to the college and professional ranks.
