· 2 Role Plays – 100 pts / ea
· 1 Hour long Test – 100 pts

one question every 36 seconds

COMPETITION NOTE: If you do a team event all of the members on the
team have their scores averaged
PREPARING
FOR A ROLE PLAY EVENT
· Write down your 5 Performance Indicators as soon as you
are given your Role Play (So you can study the night before the
competition)
DURING THE ACTUAL EVENT
· Develop a format: Intro-Body-Conclusion
· Make an outline with bullet points
· Be Realistic: Don’t talk about something out of the
realm of your knowledge
· It is ok to make up statistics but make sure they are realistic
· Remember you have 10 Minutes and that is it: Try to shoot
for an 8 minute event (You will be cut off after 10 minutes)
· The judges are expecting a 10 minute discussion (So don’t
end your conversation after 3 minutes)
PRESENTATION TIPS
· Dress for Success
· Calm / Conservative Hair
· Conservative Make-up
· DO NOT have any DISTRACTIONS
§ Clothes not fitting
§ Too much make-up, etc.
· Speak clearly, speak to your judge
· Smile, relax
· Get a mentor from the community
§ Who is willing to practice with you
two times for 30 minutes
TEAM
EVENT

· Make sure you have the same commitment / dream / time frame
