Food Service Department

How can you find out what your student's meal account balance is?

Food Service is no longer sending home low balance letters or negative balance letters to primary grades because it takes away from teacher instructional time and often these letters never make it home. We are no longer sending (via U.S. mail) negative balance letters to secondary students because it is costly and because there are many ways families can find out what their student's meal balance is.

Methods for Checking Account Balances for Elementary and Secondary School Families:

  • Can sign up on MyLunchMoney.com to look up your student's balance online and choose to have it notify you of low balances at whatever level you choose. You don't need to fund the account.
  • Contact your school kitchen and ask.
  • Call the Food Service Office at (425) 431-7080 or (425) 431-7078.
  • Ask your student. Students are notified verbally (kindly, gently and confidentially in line) when their balance falls below $15.00.
  • Secondary school students can sign in to their Skyward account and look up their balances. Click on "Report Directory," then "Meal Balance" to see your student's account. Office Managers at elementary schools can sign in to Skyward and look up your student's balance.
  • Each Friday the District Automated Phone Message system places phone calls to homes that have students whose accounts have reached minus $3.50 to minus $15.00 (Reduced and Full Price only).
  • Every other Monday the District Automated Phone Message system places phone calls to homes that have students whose accounts have reached in excess of minus $15.00 (Free, Reduced and Full Price).

Thank you for letting us be a part of your student's day!
