Groundbreaking June 19, 2007 –June 19, 2007 – Future students had the honor ofbreaking ground before 200 attendees during a ceremony and celebration on the site.

Funding-Voter-approved 2006 Capital Construction Bond - total project cost - $99.8 million.

Central Gathering Area – Primary, central
gathering place and space for performances.

Building – Two-story, fully accessible school
building is approximately 214,000 square feet and is designed to accommodate 1,600 students and 100 staff.

Environment – Wetlands provide on-site
educational opportunities.

Arts and Drama – A 350-seat performanceoriented
theater with thrust stage and 35-seat orchestra pit will be the focal point of the schools’
music and drama programs.

Energy Effi ciency – Natural lighting, ventilation,
and heating and cooling design plan received recognition from Snohomish County PUD and
OSPI.

Community – The library and fi elds will be
available for community use.
