Senior Project

All students must demonstrate their learning at the proficient level in a culminating project in order to graduate. The culminating project is a validation, celebration, and rite of passage that allows students to demonstrate their prior learning and share it with their peers and community.

WASL

Every spring all Washington state fourth, seventh, and 10th graders take the Washington Assessment of Student Learning - also known as “The WASL.” Beginning with the class of 2008, students will have to pass the WASL in order to graduate from high school. A copy of this year's WASL schedule is available here.

CLIP Program

CLIP (Contracted Learning for Individual Pacing) is an independent study program for self-directed students who are academically able and motivated to earn a high school diploma.

Honor Roll
Each semester, Lynnwood High School publishes a list of students deserving of recognition based upon their outstanding efforts and acheivement in the classroom.

ITED Test

The Washington State Assessment Program annually collects information about student achievement in basic skill areas. Two of the assessments used are the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) and the Iowa Test of Education Development (ITED).

Royal Department Awards

Royal Department Awards are bestowed by each department upon deserving students following each semester.

Student Grades
Students and parents can check on student progress regularly by looking up grades online. Most of our faculty uses an online grade reporting system for the purpose of improving staff-parent communication.
