Substitute Teacher Application Check List

Thank you for your interest in serving as a substitute to the Edmonds School District! Life as a substitute is unique. This district recognizes that the role of the Substitue Teacher is difficult and demanding, and we sincerely feel that every substitute is an important part of our educational program. Please complete the application packet (PDF) so that we may consider your application for employment as a substitute teacher.

• Application for Substitute Employment Form
• Basic Application Information Sheet
• Certificated Substitute Placement Information Sheet
  • This form helps us to identify schools or assignments that you would prefer to teach.
• 2 Confidential Reference Forms
  • You will give these letters to current or former employers who will fill them out and send them directly to the Substitute Services Coordinator.
• Include a copy of your current Washington State Teaching Certificate

Once these documents are received in Substitute Services, including your confidential reference forms, your application will be considered. You will be notified of your status.
