5210 - Dedication Plaques for Facility Construction

Construction or major renovation of a school district facility is a significant undertaking, involving extensive effort on the part of the Board of Directors and Superintendent in the areas of community education regarding the need for the project, election information campaigns and other funding efforts, design review and contract approvals, and monitoring of completion of the project.

It is the policy of Edmonds School District to place a plaque near the front entrance of the facility to honor those board members and superintendents in office during any of the significant phases of construction described above. The plaque shall include the following elements:

  1. Name of the facility
  2. Name of the District (Edmonds School District No. 15)
  3. Names of the School Board Members in office during any of the phases described above
  4. Names(s) of the Superintendent(s) in office during any of the phases described above
  5. Name of the Architectural firm(s) responsible for the design and oversight of the construction process
  6. Name of the Contractor responsible for construction of the facility
  7. Year of occupancy of the newly constructed or major renovation of the building

The plaque shall be constructed of durable materials, designed and intended to last for the life of the facility.
