Classroom Tech Station

To ensure that teachers have up-to-date teaching tools, all classrooms will receive the following tools:

  • Computer (in most cases, a laptop)
  • Document presenter
  • Projector
  • Power Strips/cables/cords/locks
  • All schools have received their projectors and document presenters.

    Instructional Computers were distributed during the 2005-06 school year. This will complete the Classroom Tech Station piece of the levy. Details - CTS Computer Rollout Plan.

    Document Presenter
    AverVision 300

    This tool, combine with a projector allows an entire class to view documents and 3-D objects. Teachers can use the Document Presenter to share concepts and ideas with an entire class. Some examples are:

    • writing samples
    • pages from books and newspapers
    • solutions to math problems
    • demonstrate math using math manipulatives
    • artifacts in a Social Studies class
    • art techniques
    • science procedures

    Hitachi CPS235W Projector

    This projector performed very well when connected to the AverVision 300 and a computer. It displayed color and detail at a level acceptable for most classrooms.

    • 1600 lumens

    • Has coupons for spare bulbs (to be held centrally and distributed on an "as needed" basis
