    Computer

The computer (either a desktop or laptop computer) will hook up to the projector and document presenter to complete the Classroom tech station. Most classrooms will receive a wireless laptop for this set up. High Schools are in a unique situation with some teachers having to move from classroom to classroom. The five high schools will have their own focus groups early in the 2004-05 school year to determine if a laptop or desktop model would work best for their situation. This will be a school wide decision.

    Mac or PC?

Both computer platforms offer the ability for teachers to teach and students to learn. In order to provide the best professional development and technical support to schools, we are asking schools to choose which computer platform they want for the duration of this levy. All levy purchases will then be made to support that platform choice. Schools will make this decision in the fall of 2004, and before any computers are purchased for their building. More information on this process will be coming out in August.
