Happy New (School)
Year! - Hope you are all excited to start this new year with new equipment
provided by the Instructional Tech Levy.
There have been some
questions coming up, so we thought we should send out the response to everyone
at the same time:
Q.
There are some classrooms in our school that already have projectors and
document presenters, but we do not have locks/cables for them. Can we get
them?
A.
Yes. In fact, that is a great idea. Now that the projectors and
document presenters are less likely to move around, since every classroom will
have this equipment, we should secure all of them. We are also buying
these locks/cables with a "master key" system, so if by any chance you lose your
key, someone in the Tech Dept will be able to help you.
We will be ordering
these locks/cables for every classroom in your school. So, if you have an existing
projector or document presenter, and are waiting for a few years to replace
them, you will get the lock/cable now - not later.
Q.
When is our equipment arriving?
A.
You need to let us know when your schools' "Out-of-the-Box" training is
scheduled. We have heard from Mountlake Terrace Elem (Sept. 14), Hazelwood
(Sept. 24) and Spruce Primary (Sept. 24).
Please give us 14
days advance notice. So, as of today, the earliest you can expect your
equipment is Sept. 15th.
