Classroom Tech Station "Out of the Box" Trainings

To: Building Point People in Wave One of the Classroom Tech Station Rollout:

The first two components of our Classroom Tech Stations (document presenters and projectors) are expected to arrive shortly. Each building will be responsible for training their staff on how to use these items to help students learn. To help each building do so, we will be holding required "train the trainer" style sessions throughout the month of September. Please select one or two people in your building to complete the following:

1. Sign up for and attend one set of "Out of the Box" trainings provided by the district (dates and times are listed below). Attendees should plan on attending one of the 2-hour classes as well as the corresponding 1-hour class.
2. After attending both training sessions, schedule a series of two "Out of the Box" trainings for their staff back in their building.
3. After attending both training sessions, facilitate or co-facilitate a series of two "Out of the Box" trainings back in their building. After the training, teachers who are truly not comfortable facilitating these trainings back in their buildings may receive co-facilitator assistance from the district.

After your building has chosen their trainer (or trainers), please select their first and second choice of trainer training groups. Trainers should plan on attending both one of the 2-hour and the corresponding 1-hour classes within the same group. Note: If your building chooses to send more than one teacher to these trainings, it is highly recommended that they attend the same meetings.

Trainers who attend the "Out of the Box" sessions will receive curriculum rate pay.

Training Session Options (Select Top Two Choices)

Training Group One: 9/7 from 4-6pm and 9/9 from 4-5pm @ Old Woodway HS

Training Group Two: 9/8 from 4-6pm and 9/10 from 4-5pm @ Old Woodway HS

Training Group Three: 9/13 from 4-6pm and 9/16 from 4-5pm @ ESC

Training Group Four: 9/20 from 3-5pm and 9/23 from 3-4pm @ Old Woodway HS

Training Group Five: 9/22 from 3-5pm and 9/28 from 3-5pm @ ESC

Training Group Six: 9/27 from 4-6pm and 9/30 from 4-5pm @ ESC

Please get back to me no later than Tuesday, August 31st with the names of your trainers as well as their first and second training group choices.
